| The
Structure of the Junior Grand Orange Lodge of Ireland
For a Brief introduction into Junior Orangeism click here. Lodges are structured through Private or primary Lodges whose Officers (juniors and seniors) form a District Lodge. The Junior Officers consist of Worthy Master, Deputy Master, Chaplain, Secretary, Steward, Inner Guard and a Committee not less than five. The Senior brethren responsible for the oversight of a Junior Lodge are known as Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent (of which there are two) and Treasurer. District Lodges are under the control and direction of a County Lodge and all are responsible to the Junior Grand Orange Lodge of Ireland. The Grand Master of the Junior Grand Orange Lodge of Ireland attends the Grand Orange Lodge of Ireland and is charged to submit reports on the progress of the Junior Lodges. At present we have six Junior County Lodges in Antrim, Armagh, Belfast, Down, Londonderry and Tyrone. |
