The Orange Institution in Ghana consists of brethren of the Protestant Faith; namely Anglicans, Methodists, Presbyterians, Evangelical Presbyterians and A.M.E. Zionist. Brethren of Orient Stars at Kpando once belonged to the Catholic Church, and were members of the Knights Marshall, a Catholic fraternity. Because of some misunderstanding they resigned en-block and joined the Anglican Church and they formed the nucleus of the Orange Order at Kpando.
